Lizzie (Marie Lane), 10, visits her family’s ancestral farmhouse in Maine, and discovers that the woods behind the house contain an amazing secret: a gateway into the mystical land of Faerie.
Yet, a dark cloud looms over the horizon of this fantastic land: Lizzie’s Great-Uncle Carlow (Peter Berkrot), has corrupted the goblin kingdom and plans to conquer all of Fae, and then move into our world unless Lizzie and some unlikely friends — a talking goat (Dustin Tucker) and a swordfighting weasel (Ella Mock) — friends can stop him.

OUR APPROACH
This was our second work utilizing a “Studio-Location Hybrid” approach, first pioneered in the second season of The Dark Tome.
In this approach, we record all scenes that take place in the ‘real world’ on-location, like a film. Scenes are gritty and real, with all the freshness and messiness of real life. Friends at The Dear Old Farm in Berwick, Maine let us utilize their classic farmhouse and surrounds as the setting for Lizzie’s family farmhouse in the world of the story.
Now, much of the story takes place in the magical land of Fae, and all those scenes were recorded in-studio at Mind’s Eye Productions. This production method gets a ‘glossier’ more polished sound, which perfectly contrasts with the gritty location recordings, and contrasts the two world environments of the story.
Show debuted in the #1 on Stitcher Premium as a binge launch in February, 2020.
